Is parking easy in Northolt?
Easier than most of London. A good share of the interwar stock has a driveway, the estate roads are wide, and there is standing outside most properties. The exceptions are a few roads near the station and the parades.

What is the housing like?
Interwar semis and terraces on the residential roads, substantial ex-council houses and maisonettes on the estates, newer flats around the station and the redeveloped sites, and larger stock towards Northolt Park.
Do maisonettes need special handling?
They are their own job. An external stair to a first-floor front door means everything is carried outside before it is carried inside, which changes the covering and where the van stands.
Does the A40 affect a move?
For timing rather than access. The Target Roundabout and the Western Avenue approaches are busy at predictable hours, so we pick the loading window at survey.
Is there another Northolt firm on this network?

How do you work out a price?
Measured volume, access at both ends, how much packing you want, and distance. Nothing else.
Does a survey cost anything?
No, and it obliges you to nothing. A video call covers most UB5 addresses; maisonettes and anything with an awkward external stair are worth an in-person look.
Do the volumes surprise people?
Regularly. A loft, a garage and a shed between them frequently hold a room's worth, and all three are coming.
Are the estates difficult to move in?
Not usually. Ex-council houses were built with generous rooms, wide internal doorways and proper stairs — easier than a lot of newer stock.
Will my things be insured?
Goods in transit and storage cover are in place, with the usual conditions around owner-packed cartons and items of unusual value. Declare anything genuinely valuable at survey and we confirm in writing what applies.
Do you pack?
Full, part or fragile-only. Most households do the books and clothes and leave us the kitchen, the glass and the pictures. Materials go when we go.
Do you do first-home moves?
A good share of the work. Usually a bedroom's worth of things plus whatever was bought for the new place, which is a van job rather than a removal.
Can you store things between places?
Containerised storage: wrapped, listed on an inventory and racked indoors, collected as part of the move.
Do you move pianos?
Uprights routinely. Grands are assessed first, and out of a maisonette with an external stair we would rather bring in a piano specialist.
What if completion slips?
The load stays on the vehicle or goes into store overnight rather than onto a driveway. We tell you plainly what that means rather than sending a surprise invoice.
Do you cover Greenford, Hayes or Ruislip?
The edges. Greenford UB6 and Hayes UB3/UB4 have their own coverage on our network and we do not poach them; for a genuinely London-wide move our pan-London sister sites are the better fit.
Do you do office and unit moves?
Small commercial — the units on the industrial estates and around the canal, and offices along the main roads. Out of hours usually suits everyone.
How far ahead should I book?
As soon as the date exists, even provisionally. Fridays and month-ends go first everywhere in London.
Can you collect from two addresses?
Yes — two households merging, or a house plus a storage unit emptied on the way. Mention both so the route is costed from the start.
Who handles the customs paperwork on a European move?
We do, built from the survey inventory. Each of the four destinations has its own transfer-of-residence process and they differ more than people expect.
